Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the services of BrightPath Academic Tutoring (“BrightPath,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By scheduling a tutoring session or submitting an assessment request, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
BrightPath provides one-on-one academic tutoring services for K-12 students in Math, Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, SAT/ACT preparation, and Study Skills. Sessions are available in-person at our Raleigh, NC center and online via video conferencing. Service availability is subject to tutor scheduling.
BrightPath offers a complimentary 45-minute assessment for new students. This assessment is provided at no charge and carries no obligation to enroll in paid tutoring services. Results and recommendations are shared with parents or guardians following the assessment.
Enrollment in ongoing tutoring services is confirmed upon completion of a service agreement and receipt of initial payment. Sessions are scheduled in advance and are subject to tutor and facility availability. BrightPath reserves the right to reassign students to a different qualified tutor if necessary.
Tutoring services are billed in advance on a per-session or package basis, as outlined in your service agreement. Payment is due at the time of booking. We accept major credit cards and ACH bank transfers. Package sessions must be used within six months of purchase.
Cancellations or reschedules made at least 24 hours before a scheduled session will not be charged. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or no-shows will be charged at the full session rate. BrightPath will not charge for sessions cancelled due to tutor unavailability and will offer a replacement session or credit.
Students who complete a full BrightPath SAT/ACT preparation package (minimum 10 sessions) and do not achieve a score improvement on their official test are eligible for a refund of the package price, subject to verification of the student’s official score reports and completion of all assigned practice materials. Terms of the guarantee are specified in the enrollment agreement.
Students are expected to come to sessions prepared with relevant materials, assignments, and a respectful attitude. BrightPath reserves the right to terminate services for conduct that is disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to tutors or other students.
BrightPath handles student information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Tutors may share relevant academic information with parents or guardians for the purpose of session planning and progress reporting. BrightPath does not share student information with third parties except as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.
BrightPath makes no guarantee of specific academic outcomes, grade improvements, or test scores. Tutoring outcomes depend on many factors including student effort, school curriculum, and consistency of attendance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrightPath’s liability for any claim arising from the use of our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific sessions at issue.
BrightPath reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Wake County, North Carolina.
