FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything Minneapolis families ask before getting started.

What grade levels and subjects do you tutor?

BrightPath offers tutoring from Kindergarten through college-level coursework. We cover all core academic subjects including Math (Pre-Algebra through Calculus), Reading, English, Science, History, and Writing, as well as dedicated test preparation for the SAT, ACT, and AP exams. Every tutor specializes in specific grade bands rather than trying to cover all ages — that focus makes a measurable difference in results.

How are tutors matched with students?

Matching is based on four factors: your student's grade level, the specific subject, their learning style, and your family's schedule preferences. We begin with a free 45-minute assessment session so we can evaluate where your student is and what kind of teaching approach works best for them. From there, we pair them with the tutor whose background and style is the best fit.

What results can I expect?

Most students see measurable grade improvement within four to six sessions as the personalized approach takes hold. Over a full semester of consistent weekly tutoring, students typically advance one to two full grade levels in the subject being addressed. We track progress every month and share detailed reports with parents so you always know where your student stands.

Do you offer online or in-home tutoring?

Both options are available and equally effective at BrightPath. Online sessions are conducted via video platform with shared screen tools for working through problems in real time. In-home sessions are available throughout Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding suburbs. Many families combine both depending on the week's schedule.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session at no charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged 50% of the session rate, and no-shows are charged the full rate. We understand that life happens — contact us directly and we will do our best to work with you.
